For those of you that know my husband, you probably know he loves trees - all kinds of them... fruit, oak, nut. You name it, he will tell you at least one thing about any type of tree. He's my little arborist! Right after we moved in we planted several fruit trees. We have a decent size backyard, so we knew we would eventually want to fill it with other tress, but we weren't sure what we wanted quite yet. Today we found a great deal on pecan and live oak trees so we loaded up! Robby has always talked about planting pecan trees, but knew how long they take to produce pecans so he has always talked himself out of it. Well... problemo solved today! We found 2 Choctaws that have already started to produce. They are about 10 ft tall and beautiful. They were such a great deal too, bonus! Robby has been SO giddy and excited ever since we got them home:)
The race on Saturday was lots of fun. I ran with my friends Nikki, Lisa, and Kristi and finished it off with brunch and a mojito afterwards at Empire Cafe. I highly recommend it if you haven't been, YUM!

While I was running for a cure Robby was in the Hill Country with his dad, grandpa, and 2 uncles on a hunting trip. They had a great time, but came back empty handed... this time at least:)
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
