Celebrating a fight for the cure

I wanted to make something pink and special for my friends, neighbors, and co-workers to thank them for their support in the Race for the Cure. I found the perfect simple little snack that looked delicious at one of my favorite cooking/baking blogs. I will tell you now it is no small task tracking down pink M&M's. I could only find 1 bag of peanut and 1 bag of regular M&M's at CVS, but I am glad I kept the search up because my treats turned out so cute and yummy.

Easy M&M Treats
1 1-lb bag of mini-pretzels
2 big bag of M&M's
2 packages of Almond/White Chocolate Bark or 2 bags of Wilton candy melts (white)

Line 2 cookie sheets with waxed paper. Lay pretzels (flat side down) on the waxed paper. They can be very close to each other.

Melt bark/candy melts according to the directions on the package. Using a spoon, scoop some of the melted bark into the holes of the pretzels OR using a squeeze bottle, squeeze melted candy into holes of pretzels. *I used a spoon because I was afraid the bark would be too hot for the squeeze bottle. It was not and would have been much easier using a bottle.

Before it starts to set, put 3 M&M's into the holes. This is where it helps to have an extra set of hands. I poured the melted bark while Robby put the M&M's on.

When the sheet is full, put it in the freezer or outside to let the almond/white chocolate candy set (unless you live in Houston then just put it in the freezer). **After seeing the candies the next morning I would not advise the freezer. My M&M's lost their shine... now they could pass for old M&M's. Oh, well I know for next time! I am SURE they will still get eaten no problem...

These are dangerous... I have to get them out of the house and quick!
