Happy Anniversary Baby!

I married this handsome man 2 years ago. I can't believe it has already been 2 YEARS! Holy cow. Thanks for being my rock and bringing joy to everything in my life.
Kisses.

Ciaran and Linh

Robby's best friend since elementary school got married Sunday. We headed to Austin on Saturday morning to spend some time with Ciaran and help prep for the big day. First stop was Geaux Burger. It is a mini shrine for important Louisiana sports especially the LSU Tigers. A little random since we were in Austin home of the UT Longhorns, but it was very good!

Linh's cousin's husband giving her a pre-wedding manicure in the comfort of her own garage! I thought this was the coolest thing. He had all of his tools with him.

Family dinner on Saturday night (notice Robby wearing his "rehearsal dinner shirt" - on accident Robby has worn this same shirt to the past 5 rehearsals we have been to, so now it's a joke)

The ceremony was held at an open Chapel at the top of a cliff overlooking never ending countryside. It was beautiful. It look liked we were going to have rain all day, but it held off and towards the end of the night a cool front came through and cooled us off. The reception was about a 5 minute walk down a little path.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We left Wednesday night for Pine Prairie to hang out with Granny, Pappa, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. This year was special because my mom and Steve went with us. I love when our families get to come together and spend a little time together. It's so important to us both. Here are a few pictures to sum up the holiday, but we mainly baked, ate, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Hope everyone had a great Turkey day!

Diana's new car - it's a beauty!

We missed Matthew and Amanda - they stayed in Katy getting ready for the big game against La Port tomorrow. Go Tigers! Dad, Josh, and Makenzie spent the day with my Dad's side of the family. Jeff (my step-brother) came to town, so Cindy spent time with her family here. We were all over the place! We wish we could have been with everyone, but with our huge families it's so hard. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Showers (A Baby & A Wedding)

My friend Jenn is having a baby on Friday! I am sure things are super exciting and crazy in their household right now:) You can check it out for yourselves here. It's kind of funny the way I met Jenn. One of my best friends, Lisa, grew up with her and introduced us (not the funny part...). Come to find out my sis-in-law, Makenzie, works for a publishing company selling textbooks to various college campuses. Well there are only about 7 or so sales reps for the company and Jenn happens to be the Austin/Houston (ish) area rep. Cool huh? The world gets smaller every day.

Anyway, back to the showers. Jenn's shower was a few weeks ago and turned out just precious. Lisa was one of the hostesses and stretched her creativity to make the cutest cupcakes and diaper cake (the special surprise we were working on when we made these) you have ever seen. Good Luck on Friday, Jenn!

Diaper cake that Lisa made... it was her first one (impressive, huh?!).

On to the wedding shower. Robby's best friend, Ciaran, is getting married to an AWESOME girl named Linh this weekend. Her host mother, best friend, and Ciaran's mom threw her a beautiful shower so all of her best friends could spoil her a little bit and shower with lots of fun gifts! We made a weekend out of it, so while I was hanging out with the girls Robby and Ciaran were busy working on home improvement projects back at their new house. We are so excited for this perfect couple and can't wait to celebrate their big day!

Sandy Creek Ranch

We spent the weekend about an hour and a half west at the family ranch. We packed up the dogs and left town. We haven't been out to this ranch many times so we were excited about exploring the land and relaxing. There is a 4-passenger Polaris Ranger out there that is a lot of fun to drive around on. We played cards, watched the pups swim in the pond, and besides that we did next to nothing. Other than the swarms of mosquitos, it was great:)
Robby smoked some meat for dinner on Saturday night and made a few hunts. It was a beautiful weekend.

The neighbor's cows were out. This was the sight I woke up to Saturday morning. Cute little girl!

Steve (my step-dad) gave me an old pistol, so we took it out for some target practice.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Muffins

I found a new recipe I have to share. It's easy and tasty!

You will need 3 ingredients and possibly just 2, if you don't like/want to include chocolate chips (but that is just crazy talk so you will need 3).

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Muffins

1 15oz can of 100% Pure Pumpkin

1 Box of Spice Cake mix

1 Cup of Semi-Sweet or White Chocolate Chips

Preheat your oven to 350. Mix the 3 ingredients together - Do not add the eggs, oil, etc that the cake mix tells you to add. Grease your muffin tins and bake for about 18-22 minutes. You will get about 15 regular sized muffins. I have tried the muffins with semi-sweet and might make the white chocolate for some neighbors. FYI - they freeze really well too. Let me know how you like them!
