Astros, Engagement, Puppy Dogs, & Huge Catfish

A few weeks ago my friend Stephen & his fiance, Ashley, came to Houston. Stephen is a good friend from college and is the awesome guy who transported delicious crawfish from Louisiana for our boil. He is also an Astros fanatic! They came in to watch the 'Stros play the Washington Nationals. We won 2 out of 3 while they were here, so that was good news. The one Robby and I joined them for was a blow out... we lost 13-2! Ouch.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE...

Wednesday was a special day... Robby's BFF, Ciaran, proposed to his girlfriend, Linh! We are SO happy for them. They took a vacation to Corpus Christi to celebrate and stopped by on the way back to Austin. We oohed and aahed over her gorgeous ring (It's the Irish Claddagh ring - google it... very cool). We shared a snow cone at Bahama Mama's and talked about a few wedding things before they headed back. Congrats again!

PUPPY DOGS

Last weekend we met my momma and Steve at the Reliant Arena to watch the dog show. I was so bummed I forgot my camera. We saw some of the funniest looking pups! I don't know if it was more of an informal show or if they are all like this, but we were able to walk around all of the grooming stations and pet all of the pups. Lots of Golden Retrievers, Great Danes, Corgies, Poodles, and Vizslas. We had fun loving all over the German Shorthairs (Maple) and Vizslas (Haribo). We finished the day at Villa Roma for some delish pizza and headed home to love on our pups. It was SO good to see Ma & Steve!

HUGE CATFISH

To gear up for our upcoming McDaniel Family Fishing Trip we baited our hooks and headed to the bayou behind mom & dad McDaniel's house. Robby found the perfect spot. Less than 10 minutes later we caught a 5-6lb catfish that was about 24 in long! Holy Cow! Again... no camera... no proof :( I promise it was that big! I have a feeling we will be back soon and I will take lots of pictures. Maybe I will catch that fish's daddy!
