Black & White Cookies popped up on one of the food blogs I read, and I couldn't get my mind off of them. It wasn't just because of my out of control sweet tooth either. I have never eaten one of these, and I think they are such a pretty and classy looking cookie. I called a few bakeries in the area to see if they carried them because I wanted to try one and see what they were all about before I got to work. No dice. That's ok, I planned on baking them anyway. The recipe I saw was adapted from the Baking Illustrated cookbook. I decided to go straight to the source since I have never baked/tasted them.
Since Jen loves to bake we decided to have a bake date/ play date. It was so much fun! I'm so grateful for her and her sweet baby boy. The boys timed up their naps and crashed just as we were getting started, so we could both bake/chat.
