It's A Boy!

The big ultrasound was yesterday afternoon! Baby looked very healthy and happy. The tech took all of the measurements she needed and kept bragging on our son. I am sure that is standard procedure, but I couldn't help the sense of pride I was feeling. Every time she needed a measurement our baby would flip, so she could get a perfect view of what she needed! Good baby :) I loved watching Robby stare at his baby boy on that monitor. He is going to be such an amazing daddy!

We told our family we were going to Pappasitos for lunch after the appointment, and then we would skype or come by once everyone was home from work. It was SO hard keeping it from our family, but I wanted to tell everyone in person, or as close to it as possible! As soon as our waiter came to the table, I told him we were having a son. He looked like a younger guy, so you could tell I made him very uncomfortable - sorry about that! Here is a picture of me, Robby, and our SON, AHHHH!

As soon as we got back to the house I got on skype to tell my mom. I was talking to her after the appt, and she couldn't believe I was keeping this from her. Haha, sorry mom, but I had to see your face. I will remember this moment forever :)

"Momma you are going to have a grandson!" Skyping with my mom in DC

"Grandma, it's a boy!" Skyping with my Grandma in Naples

I had a few hours before both sets of parents would be home from work, so I got to work on cake decorating. I made mini cakes filled with blue frosting to share our surprise.

The first stop was Dad and Cindy's house. We had burgers with them, but couldn't wait to cut the cake.

"It's blue!" You are going to have another grandson!!! They bought a little camo fleece and long sleeve shirt for baby boy. Precious!

After dinner and celebrating with Dad and Cindy we headed to the McDaniel's.

"It's blue!!!" We were all just a little excited. Can you tell?

My stud of a husband, me, and baby boy showing off our blue frosting center and the little shirt Diana and Sara got baby (I LOVE Mommy) :)

Yesterday was perfect! I can't wait to bring our baby into this world. He is already so loved. Thank you EVERYONE for the congratulations and well wishes. I will do my best to keep this baby growing strong and safely.

To top the night off as we were laying in bed baby boy started to wiggle and kick. Robby put his hand on my belly and felt our son move. The best moment of my life.

I will get some of the ultrasound pictures posted soon.
