If you like chips...

...then you will love these!

Brussel Sprouts

So, my mom is taking these work out classes and has been for several months (Go Mom!). Her instructor sends several emails a week with exercise and healthy eating tips and occasionally includes a recipe. This one recipe caught my eye... it said, "If you like chips you will love these!"

I, of course, was thinking "WHAT?! I like chips! I have never had Brussel Sprouts", so I immediately thought, "oh my gosh, what have I been missing out on my whole life... a veggie that tastes like these???"

To make a long story short, they DO NOT taste like chips. I did manage to choke a few down though. Robby asked me what kind of chips I thought she ate! haha! This recipe was not for us, but if you like these baby cabbage looking things try it out and let us know what YOU think.

Here's what you need...

12 Brussels Sprouts

1 teaspoon Olive oil to drizzle

Salt and pepper

2 fresh garlic cloves, minced

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut the stem off the Brussels Sprouts and cut them in half lengthwise. Drizzle with olive oil, coat evenly. Season with salt and fresh ground pepper. Place the Brussels Sprouts cut side down on a baking sheet. Roast for 10 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, using tongs coat the Brussels Sprouts with the garlic. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, the cut side of the Brussels Sprouts should be browned and crispy.

  1. I completely agree!! They do NOT taste like chips. I tried making these a few months ago after I found them on a website. And now you know the reason I never told you about them! haha
